Pmdg 777
PMDG CEO has shared some information about the upcoming update for their Boeing 777 series, which hasn’t been updated in a long time already.
If you don’t know what will this update bring, it will be for example the PBR textures, new flight model, 777-200ER variant, EFB and more.
As always, this update has been shared through PMDG forums and it’s more graphical in this case, as the developers previewed the 777 right in the Prepar3D v5 simulator.

In the first part of the update, the developer speaks mainly about 200LR/F & 777-300ER products, which are nearly 8 years old, and were needed to be updated, said Randazzo. They’re working on a complete overhaul of this aircraft since that time, as, as already mentioned, they’re working on many things that for example are now 747 and 737 capable of. Randazzo also said that this massive update for 777 is nearly finished, however, there’s no further information if it will be free for current customers who bought 777.
In the second part, Randazzo speaks about the 777-200ER expansion package. This was a long-awaited expansion pack, which is now coming to the upcoming version of 777. This weekend, 9th of January to 10th of January, it’s entering beta testing, they should provide this version to beta tester on 9th of January during the day. Randazzo also showed us some previews in sim of this upcoming expansion. As noted, this package will come with three engine variants – GE-90, PW and RR.
The last but not least, it has been stated that this product should be released at the end of January, if everything will go as planned, but there are some more updates for 777 coming prior to the 777-200ER variant.
